In this in-person mentoring session you will learn about some of the basic techniques and equipment for close-up and true macro photography and how to apply those technical aspects to create powerful compositions. Participants will have a chance to shoot some sample set-ups with their own or provided equipment.

Upload your image into www.photocontestpro.com no later than midnight Sunday, May 7, 2023. Please do not email anyone your image.

Members will share their image on Monday evening.

Please be prepared to talk/discuss your image for 5 minutes.

Admission is free, but there is a suggested donation of $10 to support the entire operation.

Presby does not have on-site parking. There is street parking along Upper Mountain Avenue on the garden side. As visitors come and go there are usually spots to be found however, parking becomes very difficult during high peak of Bloom Season. Please keep in mind that this facility is not 100% accessible.

Presby is open from 10-7PM.

Rules For Photographers
NO TRI-PODS allowed from, FRIDAY, May 20th – MONDAY, May 29th
No CAMERA equipment in the flower beds.
No Round Shields/Discs allowed in the garden beds — All 18 beds.
Please be courteous. The Garden is a living Museum and extremely fragile many species are extremely rare.
Early Morning Photographers: Please remember to donate in the purple Donation box at the entrance of the gardens.
No smoking in the gardens the flowers are extremely fragile.
Violators of any of the above rules will be kindly asked to leave the garden

Every year the Greenburgh Library has a juried photography contest and exhibition. Many of our members enter and are accepted. The winners of the contest are announced this year on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2PM. The ceremony is very short, so punctuality is important. Parking is usually limited so it is best to get there well in advance of 2PM.

Exhibit runs from May 20, through June 17th.

How to SIGN UP for this event:

1) Members MUST register for this event, via the website in the same manner that members register for anything else.
Members may bring 1 guest.
Please indicate that when you REGSTER on the website for this event.

2) Additionally, we will cater food in and have our meeting at our Tarrytown Senior Center. Members will sign up to bring beverages and deserts, via a google sheet. Please respond to this survey so we can make sure that we have enough variety in what members are bringing.
