Exhibiting your images is a wonderful way to experience additional pride in what you have created, share information about the subject matter and/or theme of your work, and enable others (friends, family & the public) to also have the opportunity to see your images.
What will be reviewed:
- what goes into the decision making process & actions that need to be taken
- working within the guidelines already in place (as in a group exhibit)
- creating a timeline in order to stay on track & ensure that specific deadlines are met
- choosing where you will have your images printed (or printing them yourself)
- choosing what kind of media you will have your images printed on (i.e. classic photo paper, specialty photo paper, canvas, metal, etc.)
- what is involved in securing a venue
- how to ensure consistency in your presentation of images through your choices of matting and framing (or going in another direction).
- discuss which are the best ways to hang images and decide in which order they should be placed for a physical, in-person exhibit, and why
- advertising / setting prices / taking orders
- deciding what happens to the images after the exhibit
